    I like the theme well enough but I hate that there is a3/4 border on the the white pictures like on the sidebar and my signature. I also can't create more pages then what I have because the bottom row with override my submenus. I know nothing of custom CSS, I am just an average joe that came from wordpress.com trying to figure all this out. I have figured out how to add the custom header, background and that is about it.

    You can use CSS in a child theme or a CSS plugin (like Jetpack) to do this. I recommend using Firebug for CSS work--makes it much easier.

    Change the background on all widgets to transparent and remove the border:

    #secondary aside {
       background-color: transparent;
       border: 0 none;
       padding: 0;
    }

    If you want to target specific widgets instead of all, use the same properties as above but apply them to the unique widget class(es) for the widget(s) you want to target. You can find these by using Firebug to inspect each widget and you'll see code that looks like <aside class="widget text-widget-5"> where text-widget-5 is the unique widget class to target.

    .text-widget-5 {
       background-color: transparent;
       border: 0 none;
       padding: 0;
    }
