How do I get rid of the stuff under the category "Meta" on the classic theme? I don't even know what it's for. Do I need it? What would I use it for? Thank you for your help.

You don't need it. I deleted it as well. You can delete it and then just login by going wo http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin

Deleting is easy. In the "sidebar.php" file there's a bit of code with the meta data in it. Delete that.

Of course if you delete it and you WANT people to register, you'll have deleted the normal functionality for that too.

    True, vkaryl.

johnnywordpress - if you want to allow other people to contribute or make them register to use comments or whathaveyou then you'll want to keep the metadata part. I don't so I saw fit to get rid of it. Cheers,
