I recently have been given access to my new organization's website and I now know that it is a wordpress site through Network Solutions. However, I cannot access the website to update any of the information. I have called and spoken with Network Solutions and they told me that it is in a wordpress formet. I don't really know what I'm doing lol. I just need access to the site. Any advice?

If site is installed in the root: http://yoursite.com/wp-login.php
If site is installed in a subdirectory: http://yoursite.com/subdirectory/wp-login.php

Obviously change the domain to your own, and if WordPress is installed in a subdirectory, change the name to your subdirectory name.

Yes, ask your supervisor or whoever gave control of site to you for the name of the person last to edit site...they would have the admin login credentials...if not, and if your company has full control of the domain and hosting account, gather the FTP credentials from web host, review the database name and password in wp-config.php (of WP root), then access the DB with phpMyAdmin (or host provided database management tool) and review this article on how to regain control of the WP admin account through a db change.

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin

CAUTION! Backup all site files and the db prior to making any edits...an improper edit could corrupt the site or even vanish it!

What's the URL? It it's the one in your profile, that's not a WordPress site -- which suggests WordPress might be installed in a sub-directory?

    our URL is http://www.middleeastconsortium.org
I have no idea. I inherited this site from our former admin and she is out of the country at the moment.
    Again, I appreciate everyone's help

Unfortunately, as I said, that's not a WordPress site. Were you not given any additional information about it? If no one in the organization is available, I'd suggest you go back to Network Solutions.

Yes, FTP is a way to access files on a server - using an FTP program installed on your local computer - see:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients

You'd need to get the FTP access info from Network Solutions. What did they think you should do with FTP?
