How do I edit the HTML of my sidebar widget? (6 posts)

    Hi guys,

Sorry, this is a really basic question.

I can't seem to find the file that contains my widgets. I'm only using the Search bar and the Categories on my sidebar, so those are the only bits I need to find, if that helps.

My apologies for such a silly question, but I'm not sure on the keywords to search for in Support.

    Thanks!

Try looking in your theme's sidebar.php template file.

Ah, the PHP on that page threw me. Thought it wasn't what I initially thought it was. Thanks!

Hmm, I've removed the <h3 class="widget-title"> line of HTML from sidebar.php and yet the title in my sidebar still remains. Where can I remove it please?

I'm sorry, I can't provide a link for various reasons.

My problem is within the Category Widget, which I'm using in my Main Sidebar. When I inspect it in Firebug, the title saying "Categories" shows as this:

    <h2 class="widgettitle">Categories</h2>

But I can't seem to find where that code is being generated. I've searched functions.php and sidebar.php but I can't seem to find any trace of it.

I want to remove that H2 (without using display:none). Does anyone know where I can find it?

    Thanks.

[No bumping. If it's that urgent, consider hiring someone.]
