   I am trying to edit my home page. It's not listed in the pages section...

   If it's a list of posts, the relevant template file is index.php. If it's a static page, try looking for home.php.

   I went there and there I found the a bunch of weird writing with my text in it. Tried to change the text, not working!
   I give up. I am going to pay someone to do this!
