• Hi,
I’m new to WordPress and still figuring things out. I’ve just spent about an hour scouring the net trying to find the code I would use and the location to place it to have my Adsense ads show under the title of the first post on the page.
I currently have them above the post and have tried every way to Sunday to get them to show up right under the title. I’ve read that this has been shown to get a better ctr but the only advice I’ve found has been for Blogger blogs and it’s shown in html and not in PHP.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer to help me solve this. If you need more info on my end just post what you need and I’ll let you have it.
    Best,
    Graham

  • I don’t think you can do this…
If you put it under the title it will be in the wordpress loop and be repeated infinitely for all you posts. But google does not want you to have more than 3 adsence blocks per page.

Thanks aianta03. That was my dilemma. I’ve tried everything I can think of because this is a great way to get a better ctr – apparently. But I’ve yet to figure it out.

I bet if there’s someone who is good with php that there is a way to do it; it’s just knowing what it is.

    Thanks again,

    Graham

your problem can be solved with an counter in the wordpress loop, and the you can even decide if you want to have a single adsense just under the first title, or up to three adsenses in the first three articles.
please paste your index.php (and/or single.php – depending where you want to show the adsense) in a pastebin, that would make help easier.
