• Hello,

how do I delete the listing of my former test blog I was running on my domain from Global Dashboard? The blog I want to remove from my Global Dashboard is : site.com/a

I want to keep only the main one: site.com , I deleted already the files from my server (from /a directory)

    Thanks for the help,

  • What is the “global dashboard”?

It’s http://dashboard.wordpress.com/ I think it’s something like main WordPress profile, may have something to do with API,not sure…

    Anyone can advice?

It’s starting to get annoying : seems this info is passed somehow to Google, and it tries to crawl a blog that doesn’t exist !!!

Thus it makes my whole ranking low (too many 404 errors, not reached, etc).

How can a non-existent blog be in the Global Dashboard?

I have the same issue. Can we get some advice on this?

I gave it up.. seems no one can advice on this.

Rob I recommend you to setup robots.txt on your site to disallow that directory from being re-crawled by search engines.

I don’t think there is a way to remove your blog immediately but if you stop using the Stats plugin after a while, it will disappear from global dashboard.

I’m afraid it doesn’t work that way… the blog in question has been deleted already a week or two.

    I have the same question.

then you’re in the wrong place… you should be over on wordpress.com – this is wordpress.org, for self-hosted blogs.

For wordpress.com problems, go to http://forums.wordpress.com

    *sigh* No.

I have a self-hosted WordPress blog. That wordpress blog is tied to the global dashboard at wordpress.com by my API, the same API that is used for WordPress.com stats, which I am using on my self-hosted blog. Which, to be absolutely clear, was downloaded from wordpress.org and is hosted at timwheatley.org. Clearer?

Even when you have a self-hosted blog, you can login to the global .com dashboard with your account (actually required to get an API) and view your stats there. You can also watch other blogs (both .com and .org blogs – as long as they have .com stats).

I want to remove a blog which hasn’t had an active post – and hasn’t existed – for months, from my stats, which are linked to the global dashboard, by wordpress.com stats.

Sorry for the long winded reply, but I think it appears needed.

    Thanks.

Even the initial poster clearly states:

I want to keep only the main one: site.com , I deleted already the files from my server (from /a directory)

Does wordpress.com give him/her server access of that sort? No.

I am in the same boat.

    I have a wordpress.com blog/account.

I have a wordpress.org account with a self-hosted blog which no longer exists that shows up in the global dashboard at wordpress.com because I needed to get the API for WP Stats & Akismet plugins.

I now want to map the domain of my wordpress.com blog to the domain that the self-hosted blog was on. Can’t do it. I want to delete the self-hosted blog off the drop-down at wordpress.com. How?

sorry guys, but no matter which way you slice it, that’s still a question about wordpress.COM and removing the entry from there.

…despite you having a self-hosted blog at some point, that blog is gone (as was the OP’s and timwheatley’s apparently…) and once that blog was gone, so was your ability to find your answers here.

You should be asking over THERE, about how to remove your self-hosted blog from the wp.com global dashboard.

This is a WordPress.com Stats issue on self hosted blogs. The plugin is supported (hahahahahahaha) here, is it not?
