Surely it's there and I'm just not seeing it, but how do I delete a category in my sidebar? I'm using WP on my site http://www.mysmilediet.com/blog (do not use periods at the end of a URL or risk a 404!) Thanks for your help.

Log in to your blog and go to Manage -> Categories.
From there, I think you'll see what to do.
Or, is your question really, "I want to have the category, but I don't want to list it in the sidebar?" For that, you'd visit this page first: http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/wp_list_cats
and then do a bit of theme editing. -
