• I have been tidying up my site after updating to 3.8. I have changed the permalinks format so that the URL now reads No 1 William St|page name but the page tab above the URL reads %post_title%|No.1 William St. How do I change %post_title% to reflect the page name? My site is http://www.no1williamst.com.au

  • I don’t find the theme ‘sidewinder’ listed here? Have you asked your theme provider this?

    Also please review Using Permalinks.

    /%post_title%/ is improper, try /%postname%/

My permalinks seem to be working fine. The URL comes up as I want it but just incase i have changed them to the custom format using postname but this still doesn’t correct what appears on the page tab. I still get %post_title%|No1 William St on the tab. Yes I’m using gpp sidewinder. Is that what you were asking?

Problem solved. As i qguessedit wasn’t the permalinks. The problem was in the all in one SEO pugin which I recently updated. I reset to the default settings and hey presto everything is as I want it. i just need to reload some of thedescriptions but that’s no problem.
