How do I create templates?

Hi 🙂

I am completely new at this….

Where can I learn how to make templates? I’ve tried the information that is available on this website but I’m still just as confused as I was in the first place. I have the blog up and running and I know that once I know what I’m supposed to be programing in I’ll be fine, but at this moment I’m totally stuffed. The CSS makes sense but when I look at the index.php for example in the theme folder I don’t get it.

Any advice would be wonderful. 🙂
