[resolved] How do I create a wp-content/plugins folder (4 posts)

    My site crashed yesterday. Darn Plugin update.

    My hosting provider created a wp-content/plugins_DISABLED folder yesterday to bring my site back up since a plugin crashed it. They disabled ALL the plugins.

    This was fine. At this time I am stuck. I need to reinstall the properly funtioning plugins. I have done a FTP transfer of wp-content/plugins_DISABLED folder to my desktop. But I don't know how to create a wp-content/plugins file. My WP dashboard is missing this as well.

    FTP allows you to create a new folder.

    File Permissions should be 755, which is very likely the default.

    What FTP software are you using?

    As for FTP itself, in terms of WordPress usage, here is a good place to start:
