How do I create a directory?

    I am trying to install a backup program and I need to “create the /home/londono3/public_html/administrator/backups directory and make it fully writeable” I don’t have a clue as to how to go about that. Please – someone lead me by the hand…

    What kind of backup program are you trying to use? This is not a WordPress question, but a linux question.

    In Linux people can make directories with the command ‘mkdir’, if you want to make it fully writeable, use chmod a+w <directory>, this make it writeable for all users. ( Note: watch out with those commands as they can kill an installation when being root – better check out one of those linux/unix tutorials on the web )
