    Hello Folks,
I made an attempt at updating the WP install via the automatic update. After it failed (due to server issues) I manually updated all the code via FTP. The database updated and everything works just fine, except on the Dashboard I have a warning message that I cannot clear, even though I am updated on the latest version:

“An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.”

How do I clear this message?

Delete the .maintenance file from your system. You’ll find it in the root directory of the WP install.

Thank you. That corrected the issue. Also note that the ‘.maintenance’ file is hidden. Might need to change your FTP viewer settings to show hidden files.

    Thanks!

What if no hidden .maintenance file exisits? I have looked high and low for this hidden file and I don’t have one, but I do have the message:

An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.

    Thanks!
