    Hello,

    How do i change the font-family of the body (posts) in my blog? I thought this would be a simple task, but i can't seem to figure it out.

    I've tried adding a font-family to almost all the tags in my style-sheet, but nothing seems to work. I was able to change the colour using the .entry p tag, however the font-family won't apply, why is this so?

    Can anyone help me? This is the link to my blog: Blog

    Your help would be greatly appreciated-thank you!

    Try editing style.css and changing:

    .entry p {
    color:#CC3300;
    font-family:"Times New Roman",Times,serif;
    font-weight:bolder;
    }

    However, this will not have any effect on posts where you have specific a font-family within the post itself as inline CSS over-rides anything within an external stylesheet.

    Thank you for replying. I have tried editing the .entry p tag, but the only thing that changes is the colour of the text, not the font-family. It seems that another tag is over-riding this from happening, but i can't seem to spot where it is, this is why i'm asking for help.

    The style info in your css file is being overridden by the styles declared in your template file:

    <p style="margin: 0px; font-family: Helvetica; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;">Oh i’m not sure why but it’s taken...

    Remove that and you'll be able to set things using your css file.

    is it possible that you copied and pasted your text from Word or some other text editor? that can also sometimes copy the paragraph styles.

    go back into the dashboard and edit the post and type your text direct into the wordpress editor there, and see if that makes any difference.

    if you are a little more technical minded, swith the text editor into HTML mode, and check how your post looks - you will probably find the paragraph tags with the inline styles, and you can delete them there.

    Yes, i copied and pasted my text from Text Edit. And you're right, this is what was causing the problem. I never would have guessed it. Thank you and everyone else for taking the time to help me out!
