    where and how do i change it,
    i log to wp admin on options theres a time date feature there
    i change the syntax, but nothing happens =(
    the syntax there was F j, Y
    i change it to l, F j, Y
    it still reads September 26th, 2005 on the post is it something im doing wrong?
    im also looking so that the time of post and the author appear, but i cant figure out.

    You may have to look at your Theme's index.php to change the date format that's displayed with each post.

    this is all i see on index.php

    <?php
    /* Short and sweet */
    define('WP_USE_THEMES', true);
    require('./wp-blog-header.php');
    ?>

    "theme's index.php" - in the folder for the THEME you're using....

    <h2>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></h2>
    <small><?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?> <!-- by <?php the_author() ?> --></small>

    So did you get it? Uncomment the_author tag and change the_time(format) to whatever you want.

    As Beel said, change the <?php the_time('F jS, Y') ?> to the format you want--such as

    <small><?php the_time(' l, F j, Y') ?> by <?php the_author() ?> </small>
