Ok, I have 2 different css style sheets, one with a right sidebar layout and one with a right and left sidebar layout.
The thing is, the layout with one sidebar I want to have the default pages, search, meta etc, and on the layout with two sidebars I want to insert different stuff, such as an image, information, latest blog entries etc.
I have created a new template for any page that has the two sidebar layout, the only way I can seem to get around it is not call for the sidebar.php in the new template. The trouble is that now I have no way of inserting stuff into the sidebars. I am getting confused and could really do with some help.
How can I have the default sidebar on the one sidebar layout and have different stuff in the other layout?
    Thanks in advance x.....

It's just a matter of going to the Widgets area in the Admin and turning on the widgets that you want, re-ordering them in the sidebar, and so on. It is confusing that many templates come with their own preconfigured idea of what widgets you need and what ones you don't. Some come with zero widgets in the sidebar at all.

    Good luck

I suggest you enable your theme for multiple sidebars. This way you can still use widgets in the admin backend.

There is a tutorial on how to do this here.
