Help... I had backed up a previous db file before I upgraded to 2.6. I have this file still, and would like to know how I can add the previous posts to my current blog db. Any suggestions?

Hi,
You just need to restore database. If you are using cPanel or PHPMyAdmin from which you can do it easily.
If you have taken posts backup in XML file then you just need to import it from Blog admin area.

Posted 3 years ago #I tried to do an import but I keep getting an invalid file. It is looking for an WXR file and I only have the sql from PHPMYAdmin. Also, if I restore, will the old files blow out my current posts? Do I have to add the old posts somehow to the database in PHPMYAdmin?
