  • Hi,
    I have been trying endlessly to figure this out … your help is greatly appreciated!
    I created a 764 x 184 px jpeg image for my header (for a background image)and I cannot find a way to insert it.
    Thank you in advance for your help…

  • What theme are you using? I am using the WordPress Default 1.6 by Michael Heilemann

    I went on Youtube and found a lady using the exact blog theme, as me, giving step by step instructions for adding your own logo. I am really new at this so when I learned that it needed to be done with an FTP method, I was totally lost. My room mate, the computer wiz kid helped.

    Anyway We had to use an FTP application. The video on Youtube was very helpful. I remember her mentioning the name of her site as WordPress For Women.

    Hi Jordy,
    Thank you for writing back. I have been using a theme for the last few months for my blog. Now I want to create my OWN theme, my own image for my blog. Right now I am in the middle of uploading my image to my FTP site under the themes folder. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am getting there… Any more ideas?

    Hmm I have the same problem right now in help on word press I see how to change a header image but I can’t do this I try anything 🙁 and nothing This is not just upload image I don’t know .php and this is my big problem…

    try to change kubrickheader.jpg with your own image in style.css file:

    #header {
    	background: #73a0c5 url('images/kubrickheader.jpg') no-repeat bottom center;
    	}

    or you can rename your image to kubrickheader.jpg then replace the original image.
    This work for me.

    UPDATE: not working anymore in 2.5.1 so sorry….
    Any ideas?

    maybe you should check this thread:
    The Missing Kubrick Header.

    UPDATE:
    TIP from http://www.aetas.dk (link above) work for me… 🙂

    pepen2710, thanks for link, worked for me as well

    Yea, this is what we did with the FTP

    Rename your image to kubrickheader.jpg then replace the original image

    I guess this only works if you are using the Michael Heilemann theme with the Kubrick header

    Here’s a tutorial on how to create your own theme.
    You need to have some html/css experience though and know how to build a website.

    It was very useful for me to get started in the theme idea. It will help you to create a simple theme/ change the layout of the default theme.

    I must say that the theme I find best to edit and change is the Cutline 3-Column Split theme.
