How do I add a header?

    Hello I have an online shop (pictured below as my ecommerce website) this is created in zencart.

    I would now like to create a wordpress blog but to keep the theme to match my original site, ive drafted this out in photoshop below as (my blog design)

    To keep this simple id like to use the twenty twelve theme… my question is:

    (1) how do I put the black and grey header at the top? I dont know the HTML to do so? and would it resize with the mobile version of the website.

    (2) how do I strip out all other twenty twelve header info so it looks more minimalist

    Is Zencart a plugin?

    Zencart is an commerce platform. Similar to wordpress but instead of creating blogs it creates an online shopping cart.

    I wont need to edit anything in zencart to achieve what Im looking to do. I just mentioned it to show why I wanted the blog header to look exactly like my original website.

    The wordpress blog will be a fresh install but I want to know how to make the header match in HTML
