Like an idiot I signed up for the wordpress.com site, but pointed my own domain to it. Through my server at Fatcow, I activated wordpress, and see all my files, but on my admin page I still don't see the option for plug ins. How do I fix this? Will I have to start over and rename my site, for Heaven's sake, so should have researched this before I started.

so should have researched this before I started.

Your blog is hosted on wordpress.com. In most cases, they do not allow you to upload plugins.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

If you have pointed your own domain to a wordpress.com account, then your host account for that domain on the server at Fatcow is now just about useless. You need to point your domain back to your server at Fatcow if you want to actually see your wordpress.org files there and do things with plugins.

tigtog, that is what I needed to know! I figured out the difference, which is why I activated wordpress in Fatcow. I will change my domain pointers which makes a ton of sense. Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated!
