How do I access the url for my images file? (7 posts)

I need to update the logo file that is on my website, and I can't figure out how to access it. I'm using wp template theme 1179, and on the style page of the editor I see a reference to the file that reads "background-image:url(images/logo.png)". My question is, where can I find this file to replace the current 'logo.png' with a new file? I've searched my image gallery and it isn't there. What am I missing?

    Thanks for your help.

Try looking in your theme's images folder. As you appear to be using a commercially supported theme, you need to seek any further theme-specific support from the theme's developers - paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from wordpress.org here.

I have a similar situation where my header image is in the "images" folder inside my Child Theme and not in my Media library. To access your logo file, you might try using FTP to find and access your "images" folder.

Forgive my technical ignorance, but can you tell me more specifically how to use FTP to find and access my 'images' folder?

And in response to "Theme Diva and Forum Moderator" , the theme we used for the website IS a WP theme. It's WordPress theme 1179.

FTP access is something you do at your server with a program like FileZilla. You would use your server-account username and password. Whoever first installed your WordPress and theme would have the information you would need to do that.

    See this re: FTP http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients

And per the theme you are using, is it a theme from this site?

As esmi said, those are the only themes supported here.

This may be relevant to wherever it came from:
