How disable the mouse:hover effect?

    This is the css class for the shadow: shadow-overlay

    For the title image background you can change:
    .otw-portfolio-item-link > div.title

    This is the image file:
    /wp-content/themes/carbon-light/images/gray-background-trasnp.png
