I am looking for a way to position images in the content freely by dragging them around with the mouse.

Am trying to get my wife off of Netobjects Fusion, as the volume of content in our family blog is outgrowing netobjects. Have set up a nice little blog, but she is not happy with positioning options in the default editor in wordpress. Likes to slap a bunch og images up, then move them around with the mouse till they are where she needs them to be,

Is there perhaps a plugin that will allow relative positioning with divs around each image (or better yet multiple images in one relative positioned div) ?

    Or some other way ?

I have tried "TinyMCE Advanced" and can only get absolute positioning with Divs with that.

  2. You could create a custom posts css file to customize how the images are displayed within the post based on if you choose none, left, right or center. The classes WordPress assigns to these images are:

    img.alignleft
    img.alignright
    img.aligncenter
    .wp-caption img
    img.wp-post-image

You could also assign special classes to your images by adding class="xxx" after or before the src="xxx"

I put the post.css file I use as a starting place when designing a new theme on pastbin as an example: http://pastebin.com/ijpFee9X

Thanks, but I don't think that helps me. I should make myself more clear.

One important thing for us is to be able to position two or three images next to each other (or a tall one next to a smaller wide one, ensuring their top or bottom edges line up).

And to be able to rearrange images by dragging with the mouse.

  4. Good luck with that.
