   Desired behaviour:

   I want to send daily updates to readers and have the update display only selected categories/child categories as follows:

   Category/child category One (e.g. Scholarships):
   - topic 1
   - topic 2
   - etc

   Category Two (e.g. Conferences):
   - topic 1
   - topic 2
   - etc

   Alternatively, I could also present a list of categories to readers when they click on the subscribe link and have them select which categories they want to subscribe to.

   Current behaviour:

   Currently, I'm using feedburner but it doesn't seem to have the functionality to display feeds by categories. I've also tried the Subscribe2 plugin and it doesn't achieve this.

   How can I accomplish the above as I don't want my readers to get spammed by daily post from all categories.

   If you'd like simpler feed URL's than the WP default you can burn the WordPress category feeds at Feedburner (multiple Feedburner feeds) and give them whatever feed URL you prefer.
