    Id' like to keep the logo and social media icons in the header, but I have no need for the navigation bar at the moment. I'd like to remove completely the gray bar, including the Home button. Here's the link to the blog. "blog.joinbonfire.com" Thanks guys!

    I don't have a strong programming background, so I'm not doubting that it wouldn't work. Where exactly is "my display"? Is this somewhere in the editor?

    You probably don't want to go down that route without a Child Theme, can you set one up first http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes ?

    Sure, I'll look into that. Is there an easier option, though?

    that was lines 61-64 when I look at header.php using Notepad++

    Al

    p.s. yes, do not change the theme itself as any changes you put in it will be overridden when it is updated, rather, use a child theme and make any changes in that. create a child theme and copy header.php into it and make mods in it.

    Hi Al, thanks for that. I'll go ahead and create the child theme. I'm a bit new to this and wanted to make sure I'm removing the right lines of code. Is there away you could take a screenshot/copy+paste the exact lines of code I'll need to remove, if it's not too much of a bother.

    I'm thinking this?

    <?php wp_nav_menu( array( 'theme_location' => 'primary', 'menu_id' => 'menu-top', 'menu_class' => 'nav-menu' ) ); ?>
    </nav><!-- #site-navigation -->

    <?php $header_image = get_header_image();
