   this might be a stupid question but...

   i deleted the default admin user. i wanted to know was there a way to reinstate that original admin user. i know you can just make an admin user but i want that user's author number to be 1 like the old one. right now i have 5 authors, numbers 2 through six. have i just lost author 1 forever? i have a plugin that i think is now messed up because there is no author 1 (just a thought, i could be wrong).

   is there a file that i can manipulate or something in order to assign the number i want for whichever author i want?

   You could probably manually add it yourself in PHP my admin

   Yes it is an interface to directly alter your database. Your host will know what it is and tell you how to get at it, however if you are not sure it is probably not a good idea to start messing with it.
