WordPress can’t seem to make up its mind on how to handle the <!--more--> tag.

In 2.3, that more tag would add a “continue reading” tag in RSS feeds…now in 2.5 it no longer does that.

How can I get that functionality back so that the content in RSS feeds are cut off at the more tag?

I am also interested in knowing this, I don’t want to have my blog leeched off by splogs all around the web, five or six of them already try to send me a trackbak per day <_<

I wrote a plugin for Wp2.5 to add a ‘more’ to your rss feed.

Im having the same problem, i’ve tried your plugin athos99 but my feeds still full with no “more” link. I’ve just enabled it, do i need to do something more?

Peeps, this is not a bug, this is how WP is made to behave.

Give this plugin a try: Better Feed to add “Read more” links (and more things like a copyright notice , a “Add to delicious” or anything you’d like in your feed item footers)
