There are files not listed anywhere that I am trying to protect from bulk deletion. For example, I have a few seasonal background and header images that are not always attached to post or page, but I would like to keep them protected in the library. I tried to find a workaround by using the File Un-Attach plugin and “attaching” the files I want to protect to my active/published home page. It didn’t work because, I guess, WP Media Cleaner is smart enough to see that the files were not actually attached to the page. Then I created a hidden (draft) page where I attached the thumbnails of the images I wanted to protect – and this method works even if the page is not published.

Is this the only available method to automatically protect the files from accidental deletion by WP Media Cleaner plugin?

Actually an “ignore” system was already part of the plugin internally but not everything was written, only the code base.

I finished it and now there is an ignore button and columns. No surprise here, it will work as expected.

I will release it now, can you test it? Thanks a lot 🙂

Thank you for the new release and new features! I love the thumbs feature! As for the Ignore – it is a wonderful function, but I noticed after the next scan the file appeared in the Issues again and I was able to delete it. It looks dangerous. I think the files already in Ignored list should never appear in the Issues list.

Indeed, there was a bug! I just release a new version. It should work now 🙂
