    Your plugin folder is on your server, I presume; in wp-content/plugins

    Phil,
    the reason why you're seeing a question mark is because the link to the picture isn't properly set.
    Since you've figured the way to upload a picture to your server AND to include the necessary code in your posts, you don't need a plugin.
    Unless you're willing to do that very often, then the plugin might save you some time.

    Now, the best thing would be to solve your bad linking.

    Can you provide us either with the incriminated source code and/or a link so that we could troubleshoot that ?
    You're linking to a website where I haven't seen any wordpress install so far...

    HI Chiensavant...here is the code that my site generated

    <img src=';/wp-content/scotch1.jpg' alt='' />

    I just put that directly into the post. Is that how your supposed to do it? By `'You're linking to a website where I haven't seen any wordpress install so far..."
    does that mean the log software is not istalled properly in to my site?
    Thank you so much for the help
    Kind regards

    I have the same issue, I cannot upload any pictures to my blog. When I try to change the default upload folder to wp-content/uploads (which exists on my site) I get a message
    The uploaded file could not be moved to .

    Can anyone out there help me out asap, it would be much appreciated.

    Moshe
