How can I make ‘subnav’ list child pgs and grandchild pgs on a grandchild pg?

    My subnav lists child pages separate from the original parent pages, on a left sidebar. I can list related grandchild pages in a different way than I list the child pages in the subnav when I am on a the child page.

    Ie.
    Subject
    sub-subject
    sub-subject

    I would like the menu to stay like this when I am on a grandchild page, but instead it removes the child pages (its parent pages) from the list, leaving only related grandchild pages.

    Ie.
    Sub-subject
    Sub-subject

    How can I make this the way I want
