• Hello, I am having a bit of a problem. I was wondering how I can make my home page url be example.com/ instead of example.com/home. The reason for doing this is so I can actually edit the page in the pages section?
Any help would be great! Thank you much (^_^).

I did check out all the support questions I could find on this but no very many gave the answer I needed. So I would really love any ones advice. (^_^)
    Thanks Much

why is your domain whatever.com/home are you using a webhost thats doing this for you? if you login to your server via ftp the main folder that loads should contain your index files and whatever.. if its not you need to install wp in the root directory..

It sounds like you have created a page called ‘Home’, but are getting
your latest blog posts coming up on the site’s front/home page.

    If this is the case:

From the Dashboard go into Settings -> General
Select the option so that Front Page displays a Static Page
Select your ‘Home’ page as your Front Page

You should also create a new page (OK if it has no content) and select that as your Blog Page.

Disregard the above if that isn’t the issue, but instead you have installed your WordPress into a directory called ‘home’, in which case you’d need to look at: http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory and make some changes (or get someone to do them for you)

I’m sorry I wasn’t very clear, I made a homepage in wordpress and the url for that is example.com/home, but I want it to be example.com, basically I want to add a page (home page) that the url will be example.com. I want to pick the front page template but I can’t if the page isn’t in the edit section of wordpress.
    Thanks for your replies :).
If you have more suggestions please write back ;).
I’m still having the same trouble.

OK now I’m confused. If you made a page in WordPress which you want to be the homepage, you just need to do what I described above:

From the Dashboard go into Settings -> General
Select the option so that Front Page displays a Static Page
Select your ‘Home’ page as your Front Page

If that’s not it, please can you post a link to the actual site?
