    Is there a way to remove Google from my WordPress installation? I'm otherwise quite happy with the 2012 theme.

    Thanks!

    googleusercontent.com is not part of the default Twenty Twelve theme or a WordPress installation;

    please post more details.

    start troubeshooting by deactivating all plugins to see if that solves your problem.

    Are you sure? Have you looked at line 139 of /wp-content/themes/twentytwelve/functions.php?

    wp_enqueue_style( 'twentytwelve-fonts', add_query_arg( $query_args, "$protocol://fonts.googleapis.com/css" ), array(), null );

    That's all I've found so far.

    NoScript in Firefox reports blocking objects from googleusercontent.

    That is not pointing to googleusercontent.com. It's pointing to a Google font url at via fonts.googleapis.com/css

    I am still quite unhappy to be calling any outside site's service as part of the default setup in WordPress.
