I want to remove the ubiquitous “Ajax Event Calendar requires a city value for the Timezone setting” and “Your server has PHP magic_quotes_gpc” banners from my back end. These banners appear literally on every admin page, and confuse the hell out of my end user.

How can I hide them or comment them out?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Found them in the ajax-event-calendar/ajax-event-calendar.php and commented out.

This seems to be a decent plugin, and I fully appreciate the importance of adding the necessary timezones and turning off magic quotes, but I can’t help thinking that displaying the demand for these things across the entire admin end is a bit obnoxious.

I agree with Dimitri. I’m currently looking to perform the same task – though more for my clients than myself.

In a future release, it would be useful to have a toggle button, either in screen options or in the settings options, to turn the two types of notifications on/off.

Toggles like these represent the baseline of leading edge plugins like this one. On that note, Eren if you were to progress from freemium to premium I would happily be by a license for added features like these.
