   What is a good stats plugin that doesn't report data to Quantcast and have a bunch of unwanted features?

   That's a great plugin, but I was actually referring to traffic stats...Any suggestions?

   I like statpress visitors - it seems to be the best fork of statpress and is actively maintained by the author

   I wasn't aware Jetpack stats shared data with Quantcast, but I discovered it does add a stupid little smiley face into the footer of your site. Only seen when you are not logged into your site.

   If you want a good stats program use Google Analytics. No reason to add anything to WP.

   There is actually a plugin to remove that "stupid little smiley face".

   Some themes remove it I think and the WordPress dot com stats plugin does not use it.

   As soon as I uninstalled Jetpack - with no other changes to anything on the site - the smiley face vanished.

   Yes, it is from Jetpack. Many don't like it. Hence the plugin I guess.

    Some kind soul wrote a Plugin to block third-party Quantcast tracking in WP.com stats/Jetpack stats.
