   Hello guys ... im new to wordpress
   i need to know something about categories
   how can i set a topic and under that topic a subtopics or subnames
   for example :

   topic is "Cars"

   and subname (subtopics) .. are

   Mercedes
   BMW
   Audi

   etc etc ???

   any idea how to do that ?

   -----------

   and one more thing please

   is there anyway to remove/hide the "meta" page ?

   You can simply define a cat as Cars, and then when you create a new category, it will ask child of? Simply choose Cars. You can even have Cars-->Porsche--->911, if you so desired.
   Then when posting, you can either choose that the all three are choosen, or just 911.

   What do you mean by "meta page"?

   i have on my site a topic called "meta"
   and under that topic or "headline" i have

   *site admin
   *logout
   *valid html
   *wordpress

   all i need is to hide or remove this "meta"
   and to put anything instead of it

   Manage > categories > Add new
   Type the name, then choose the Parent category from the dropdown.

   meta
   Presentation > Theme Editor > Sidebar
   Scroll down
   Delete the 'meta' section

   in my site i have "4" main topics
   1-Archives
   2-Categories
   3-links
   4-Meta

   i'll im asking is how to add more topics ???

   They are not categories.

   If you want to add things to the sidebar, open that file and look at how things are there already.
   And please do not bump.
