   Hi All,
   I have a site in wordpress. I need to make some changes prior to that I want to copy the existing site to new subdirectory on the same domain.
   example
   copy http://www.example.com
   --- to ---
   http://www.example.com/beta

   I tried copying the entire files in beta directory, but this did not work.

   I am new to wordpress, so please ignore if this is a very basic question.

   have u copied all the files ???
   Now export your Database and edit the SQL file...
   Find & replace in your SQL file from example.com/beta to example.com.
