How can I change the template for product category

Hi,

I am using woocommerce, I have been searching the docs of it but couldn’t find something helpful.

As per docs if i copy template files to my mytheme/woocommerce/content-product_cat.php it should overwrite it, but when I do its not working plus the code being used on page showing products on the basis of category is using woocommerce-template.php, and its using so many other codes how can I replace it?

Any guidance will be appreciated.
