How can I change the DOCTYPE to ‘Strict’?

    Hi There,
    Our site’s CSS layout isn’t rendering consistently in FF & IE due to the ‘Transitional’ DOCTYPE in the template. Can I change it somewhere in the back-end?

    Changing it in the ‘header.php’ file doesn’t seem to take effect.

    Thanks very much – searched but couldn’t find a post that gave advice.

    Sorry, it has changed. It’s the CACHE problem that threw me. Every time I make a change I have to delete the WP files in the cache folder before refreshing the site in the browser – the change finally just kicked-in.
