[resolved] How can I change space between thumbnails? (4 posts)

How can I change the padding between the thumbnails so that I can get more columns? Right now, no matter how many columns I pick in the plugin settings, I'm only allowed 3 before it will automatically create a new line, regardless of how many columns I pick, so I'm guessing there is some kind of minimum width setting for the space between thumbnails, and I can't find where that is. What do I need to change in order to fix this? I would like them to automatically adjust, so if I have 10 images I can do two rows of 5 and the thumbs will be evenly spaced, or if I have 12, 4 columns/3 rows, etc. I have a max width of 800px in my main content area, and I'm using 100px x 100px thumbnails, so it should be able to place 5 across. Here's what it looks like now, so you can see what I'm talking about.

in the file gallery settings, there is an option to pick the number of columns -

have a closer look into the 'media settings'; to get there, click 'settings' below the plugin name in the plugins page.

Thanks, alchymyth, unfortunately, that doesn't work as intended. It only goes up to 3 wide, regardless of what column number I choose. I edited my original post to be more clear on that fact.

OK I've actually figured it out. This was a post created before I added the new gallery, and I still had to go into the gallery settings in the post (not the File Gallery, but the default gallery settings when you click the "upload image" button and that new window pops up), and chang the number of columns there. Now I just need to fix the borders, but I already know how to do that!

So, maybe this will help someone in the future :)
