I don't like the size of the fonts in the posts - I'd like them to be much smaller. I don't like the spaces between the lines - I don't want all that space. How do I reduce the size of the font and the spaces between lines in my posts?
I am a real dumskey when it comes to css. Where do I look in style.css to make the changes?
I'm using Seashore 1.0 as my template.

And my $0.02 (CAD) - the site shouldn't reflect what you like... but what is good for your visitors. Smaller font than what you have and less line-height might make it more difficult to read. Usually, there is a reason why designers do what they do and lay people shouldn't override those decisions.
