How can I bypass automatic upgrade?

    I tried, unsuccessfully, to upgrade from 2.7 to 2.7.1 using the included automatic upgrade. All I got was a bunch of files uploaded to my server which I’m not able to remove because of file ownership.

    What I’d like to do is go back to using the automatic upgrade plugin that I was successfully using before 2.7. How can I do that? (I tried activating it, but I still got the same error result).
