When a visitor to my site commented on a post he clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added he gets four emails with the same comment. Is there any way to correct/control or cancel these duplicate notifications ?

What notification plugin are you using? Have you tried contacting the plugin's developer

I am not using a notification plugin, simply the auto facility on my admind panel.

There isn't an option to notify visitors in WordPress itself.

I am using the Clear Line Theme and having the same problem without an additional plug in. Now people want no notification so I am loosing traffic with this bug. Please Help!

Here is what a commenter sent me. I am not using any plug in for notifications and people are getting frustrated. I get 30-40 comments each day so you can imagine the number of emails they are getting.
After I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new feedback are added- checkbox and now every time a comment is added I get four emails with the identical comment. Is there any approach you possibly can remove me from that service? Thanks!
I am using clear line template and they haven't responded to me in several months. WordPress has not responded to me about this issue and it was posted over a month ago. What gives?

I'm a bit puzzled, as I received the EXACT same message from someone. I wonder if it is spam and bogus.
