Don't know if this is in newer versions, haven't had a chance to install 1.0 yet. How about a button for the <!--more--> tag? No one ever remembers thats there, I had added a note for it but after reinstalling wordpress lost it.

In the newer versions, 1.02 for sure, there is a MORE button in the Quick Tags.
