Hi Ruth,
It looks like you’re using a custom slideshow script called Pexeto Slideshow on your homepage, which appears to be built-into your theme. I would suggest contacting your theme’s developer for info on how to remove the thumbnails (there may even be an option right in your theme)…
1. http://pexetothemes.com/support/
2. http://pexetothemes.com/demos/expression_wp/full-height-slideshow/
3. http://themeforest.net/item/expression-photography-responsive-wordpress-theme/2855595
While you’re here, why don’t you give NextGEN Gallery Optimizer a try? It will speed up your site by eliminating all those extra NextGEN scripts you’re loading on every page! You can even continue to use the customized ColorBox plugin you’ve got on your Gallery pages, just turn off the Fancybox option on Optimizer’s settings page.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Mark.
Thanks, Mark. I was actually talking about the thumbnails that appear on hover in the NextGEN gallery pages, not the ones on the front page.
I DID solve the issue but using Colorbox.
As for the optimization plugin, I’ll give it a look-see.
Ruth
