• Hello bloggers:)

I am using wordpress for seven months now and I love it. I am running my personal blog at http://angel.kafazov.com/blog and I have been trying out various cms for my homepage but I don’t like any of them. What I want is to use wordpress for my homepage as well. The thing is, that I don’t know how to nicely integrate the homepage with the blog. Of course, I can add pages and cathegories but there will be no clear distinction between blog and homepage. I was wondering if some of you have already done something similar and could give some ideas on how to do it.

The thing that pops in my mind is to make one additional WP installation for the homepage, what do you guys thing about that?

    Angel

  • I use the Static home page plugin – “Sticks the page with a slug of ‘home’ to your front page.” – for this and it works great. I strip the loop code of stuff that makes content look like a post, and either hard code the contents into the home.php page or use the include plugin to add content as pages, then include it on the home page and exclude the pages from the menus.

Here is an example of a different home page: http://www.MikeCoffman.com
