   This is a VERY basic question, but I'm working with a different hosting company then I usually do, that my client uses and have created the database and am viewing it in phpMyAdmin, but am having trouble finding the hostname. Usually I use fatcow, or godaddy and they give you the host name very simply.

   In phpMyAdmin, in the top left it says

   204.12.119.230 - linkedinwork

   where it usually would say the hostname, it has the server and then the database. I know this is really basic, but I am not very comfortable with mysql and thought I'd ask instead of messing stuff up.

   You need to contact the hosts and ask them.
