WP Retina 2x
[resolved] Hosting WP Site within a non-WP Site via GoDaddy (5 posts)

    Hello,

I've chosen to host my sites with GoDaddy. To maintain privacy I've chosen to abbreviate my domains. My main domain is IDD.com (is not a WP site, actually Flash-based). I however have another site (which is a WP), BSC.net, residing within IDD.com.

    So basically ... http://www.IDD.com/BSC.net

If I hit http://BSC.net from a browser ... BSC launches fine. I'm using a WP plug-in called Ultimatum to assist in development. Everything, with exception of a form and WP Retina 2X works perfectly.

I typically use CuteFTP to upload all my images, instead of uploading them via WP. It's just easier and a little quicker, I think. I tend to use PNG files instead of JPGs. I have '@2x' images for each image, but they fail to load on Retina Displays.

I have faith in your plug-in, but need some guidance at this point. Would you please share your thoughts, offer some guidance or simply share what additional info you need to assist me with this unfortunate issue?

Thank you for offering such a wonderful plug-in, and in advance for assisting me resolve this issue.

    Brett

As I cannot see the website itself, it's pretty hard to help you. You shouldn't be scared of sharing your website, except if it has some very special content and not referenced on Google or anywhere.

Anyway, at this point, it seems the files you have are correct. After that, the plugin uses two famous scripts/methods, and if you use the client method, it should work (it's using "retina.js") easily. Is the script loading?

How can I tell if the script is loading?

Look in the source code of the page once it's loaded, you should be able to find a "retina.js" somewhere.
