Hi,
I have successfully downloaded wordpress. I have also, using MAMP, set up a testing place for my blog, so testing it from my 'local host'. I have chosen, using MAMP, to have the document root for apache to be the "Sites" folder on my mac.
This means that my local host is the same folder as my 'Sites' folder on my mac. My theory being that if I turned on 'web sharing', other people could see my wordpress blog.
I can connect to HTML files in my "Sites" folder over the web from another computer, but the wordpress PHP files don't parse. If I did want to do this, I am looking at setting up a proper server, which would be beyond my capabilities?
Any thoughts would be very helpful. Thanks.
