Hi there,
My hosting was cancelled, because I forgot to pay for it, I have MySQL backup files, they were sent to my email automatically every week. Are these files any good to restore my blog if so how can I do it? Godaddy are offering to restore it for $150, don't want to pay that. Thank you very much for any answer!

Yes but you also need a backup of all your files (because therein lived your images etc).

Posted 1 year ago #Easiest solution: pay the hosting company and your existing site will magically reappear.
Second best: use the backup DB and upload it to your new rig.
Third best: use the WordPress export file (the WXR file you get via Tools > Export)
Fourth best: pay someone, preferably in advance, to do the job for you.
