Hello. I have just installed the plugin on my new site thrakinet.tv, according to the hostgator settings from : http://support.hostgator.com/articles/specialized-help/technical/wordpress/wp-super-cache-plugin
The first notice is that the option 304 Not Modified browser caching is not selectable when “Use mod_rewrite to serve” as it is mentioned. Is there a way to check both or should I use “Use PHP to serve cache files” ??
Secondly I used Google PageSpeed Insights and in the report it say Should fix “Enable compression” and “Optimize images” isnt the plugin compress the pages as I checked in the advanced tab? And last is there a way to optimize images ?

Also when I select “Use PHP to serve cache files.” and “304 Not Modified browser” under the line it displays “304 support is disabled by default because some hosts have had problems with the headers used in the past.”
Is this mean that I can not use 304 Not Modified browser?
Should I call my host provider?
And is there a way to make “Leverage Browser Caching” ?
I dont know what exactly is but google recommends it.
